Yep I loved my 98 Roadking I toured the countryI remember having a lot of trouble with those big old tanks. Had the 5 gals. on a '79 LowRider that I toured the US on for several years starting in '80. Needed the extra millage. I had the threaded holes break out too. That's where I learned to weld gas tanks without blowing myself up!
Also out west mostly . I bought my Roadking new .
It was a long waiting list I had to wait over a year to get . I put 46000. Miles on it in Five years .
The day after I got it payed off my son got killed
On his bike .
That took the wind out of my sail .
I let it set one year then I sold it cheap .
I had more fun on that bike .
I loved riding solo best
