This is how I removed the bearing sliding housing & bearing. I used two nail pry bars. Any two pry bars would work. This popped it off really easy.

Drive the brake pivot stud through the housing and the brake fingers like this. You can leave the snap ring on the end.

The stud gets removed by driving it through the housing with a punch and a hammer. (remove set screw first!)

Remove this set screw on the bottom side of the housing. This screw holds the brake operating finger pivot stud.

You may have to twist back and forth the get this sucker out. I also had to file burs off of mine to put it back.

Grab the roll pin with some vise grips to remove it. Use the punch to hold the brake shaft still while you fight this thing.
