I'm thrifty (ok cheap). right now, if I want to watch women's volleyball, especially Nebraska, they seem to be pushing it off to multiple streaming services.. NOT ONE but 2 or 3. Big Ten Plus, and Fox Sports App .. on your phone. Who the F wants to watch it on your phone.
So I already pay a fortune for the wife to watch cable tv, and now they want $89 for Big10 Plus and who the F knows for Fox Sports APP, and then $225 for yt.. F that. I've had it. There's got to be a better way.

I am having the same issues running into walls of ads on youtube and until this week I never had to deal with ads much before.
I have adblock Ultimate installed on Linux running Firefox and nowadays its doing Jack all.
Might be time to ditch youtube and go to Odysee or another platform, only problem is finding any metal craft creators in there.

To all those saying switch to brave, forget it. not going there. Fine if you start with brave, or only have a few bookmarks and a couple of logins, but I just do not have the time, nor the inclination to transfer all my bookmarks and login details across to a "new" browser, nor do I have to switch browsers so that I do not have to deal with ads. I have that more than covered.

Apart from which, I use specific browsers for specific reasons based on the behaviour of certain websites.

I finally just gave up about a year ago and pay for YT premium- Guess they won that round. Actually use the YT music ap all the time.

Yeah, no. I am NOT giving google (who own YT) any money thanks. they already cause too much grief with the stalking they call "data collection". As far as I am concerned, they can go BLEEP themselves before I even consider giving them a penny of my money.
