Working on my DIY Tool Post Grinder-Ugh

I was thinking 3" OD and haven't got that far on the ID.
What do you suggest?
Router motor with variable speed. Maybe rechargeable - no cords would be nice.
Harbor freight??
I'm only asking because I'm finding a ship load of wheels down here . I have a Precise die grinder that I'll probably keep for the time being . This is off of a jig bore with 46000 rpm . I wouldn't run it with anything over 2 " without a variac on a lathe so these wheels are no use to me . I'm following now . When I round all this up , it'll go to someone who can use them before hauling to the dump . If ANYONE would ever need bearings , I've got containers full also . :)

Identifying problems that got me in trouble.
.005" TIR just won't work.
This was a gift, it came with new bearings that I installed. Must be Chinesium bearings.
Edit----Or Russian :)-crap
Maybe I'll try to fix it some day. Meanwhile I have two others that work fine.

But nothing beats a good piece of Ash !
But 5/4 rock maple flooring off-cuts were free at Hershey (a lot of those 1,000,000 sf had wood floors); 30 years later I still have some left.

Will a router motor be too fast leveraged against a 3" wheel? You're probably way ahead being how you own a surface grinder, but you'll want to figure out your wheel surface speeds against the manufacturer's charts and pick the motor speed based on that and what you can fit for pulleys. It seems to me like a router motor would really rip, even though those nice bearings could take it.

I'm going to find an adjustable speed router. Remove the hardware and mount the motor to an aluminum base of some sort to be determined
Should be ok.

I'm 2 miles away from the original Adirondack Bat Company up at the property . They have a dumpster full of bat ends that is loaded by conveyers . I/we fill up boxes every time we go camping . They burn RED HOT and will light anything up as far as firewood . Besides my old time joke , that Ash is a cooker . I never remember to bring any home .
