Does anyone know where I can get a downloadable copy of or have a copy of the wiring diagram for my Tarnow TUJ 50M lathe
Someone has been messing with the wiring for my jog button wires in the back panel and I can’t figure out where the wires should hook up

Thanks
Blair

I see that the manual is available but expensive - 95 euros
I thought perhaps I might have some info but only for smaller machines

Looks like there are a lot of options if you are willing to pay ~$100 for it.

I do not know your lathe, but assume that it is a 3 phase motor and system. If so a lot of them simply provide a contact switch which when activated provides power to the 3 phase relays (contractors) to start the motor. These are the same relays which are used to run the motor at full speed. Nothing complicated, but it is a momentary switch. If you held it down long enough the motor might come up to full speed.

You may be able to get a pretty good idea of how the circuits are hooked up based upon the diagrams that are commonly available for smaller lathes. I have a PM1440GT, 3HP 3phase motor. I converted it to a VFD so that I could run it on single phase power. However, when doing this I posted a description of how the original wiring was connected and it will show you how the momentary contact switch is wired into activate the 3 phase relays. It is wired in through the run switch so that Jog will work in both forward or reverse. Here is my write up location. You will want to grab the first document, Part 1. which simply describes the factory original electronics. Part 2 is a description of my VFD conversion.

VFD conversion using solid state electronic components.

If you want you can also get the pdf manual which also has an electronic circuit diagram. I am not for sure which you may find the most informative. I wrote up my version and did drawings to show the parts locations as well as a drawing showing the operational wiring (more logical to me). Since, I was only discussing the electronics there is a lot more of an explanation in words about how things work. At the onset of my VFD conversion, I decided I should understand in some depth how the original wiring worked! Hence, I wrote this up and provided it in cased I or anyone else might want to put the lathe back to its original state.

Here is the PM manual location. See pdf page 29.

Good luck.
