That was a very nice vice. Maybe it can be brought back? Braze & file?Lassy Rapid-LOX vise
Tenth plug gage?? How is that used?

Not sure it really needs to be repaired where prior idiots have drilled into the base. The casting is solid there and I don't think it will be too weak for what I intend, and there's enough of the vise bottom to support a parallel (which is something the imports don't do--they have a trough right under the fixed jaw for some stupid reason). Most of what I liked was the stepped jaw. That was a very nice vice. Maybe it can be brought back? Braze & file?

You mean +/- 0.0001, right? The gauge pins are the nominal size, plus pins 0.0001 to 0.0012 in tenths on either side of it?Tenth plug gage. One middle is .500. Others go from plus 001 to plus 012 then other side minus same. Have sets from1/8 in. To 1/2in. For checking size of machined holes or bores. Second picture is for measuring bigger holes or bores.
...Those three-point bore gauges are the best but golly are they expensive. I looked into them for measuring a specific bearing journal bore on the GMC Motorhome front suspension, but they were just too pricey.

Looked it up. Watched the video. Looks good as long as the computer keeps working. The guy in the video needs some instruction on manufacturing. Walking back & forth!Didn't buy it, but I did get my deposit in.

Yes sir. Tenths. I don’t have the skill set or patience for tenths. Doing good at a .001. I need to upgrade my membership so I can sell some of this. Not doing any good stuck a few more years in a toolbox.
