What Did You Buy Today?

Richard Lederer's The Miracle of Language is a great book. It is on point with your discussion of language.

Got a few things for the surface grinder:
  • 6x12 inexpensive magnetic chuck... later, when I get some experience with it, I will buy a quality magnetic chuck
  • American Rotary AR-5 phase converter - so I can provide power to it. Was not looking at splitting the wiring to power each motor separately. This way, I can use it as it is. Also opens the possibility of running any future machine that I get that is also 3-phase... not that I am looking for any more machines...
  • Flush Mounting Locking Receptacle, Twist-Lock - to install directly in the phase converter box. To connect the surface grinder to it... later, I will run some conduits and install a couple of 3-phase outlets in the garage and switch the machine to one of those.
  • Disconnect Switch Box 3-pole
  • 10/4 10 AWG Cable - to replace the old and brittle/cracked one in the machine...

Way to go Jamie, you are killing it!!

My wife recently gave me a set of two of these LED head lamps. They actually work nicely and are comfortable. Much better than the little ones you can get at HF. You can even turn them on and off by waving your hand near by them! I normally view things like this as junk, but these were very handy today! The string of LEDs are very bright and the flashlight works to localize and intensify.

They look like the "DOCHO" branded ones on Azamon UK website.
