I've heard lots of caravan type users have gone to GMRS.Does anyone still use CB radios? In the past we participated in several RV caravans. CB radios were required as a means of communication between the members (usually around 30 motorhomes) and the leaders. In the early 2000's there was plenty of chatter on the airwaves, and at times it was even hard to get through to others in the group because of the volume of radio traffic. As time went on there was less and less traffic.
The last time we went to Alaska (on our own) in 2019 there was almost no CB traffic the entire 7,300-mile round trip. The radio was silent for 99+% of the trip. About the only traffic was near the cities. We know the CB was working properly because it also has a weather radio. We could pick up weather warnings throughout the trip.
These are nice as long as you keep them away from the sunlight.I bought these things. I want to say they were like 9 dollars at Woodcraft? They’re quite a bit bigger than I expected, and it even looks like it’ll fit some taper tools. I hate digging in drawers for hand tools. View attachment 473866

Are those racks made of plastic or metal?
