What Did You Buy Today?

I bought myself and my wife a vacation in the Bahamas. ;). All part of the grand plan to eventually end up with a surface grinder and shaper. :D

Also recently received some multi fix tooling. ;)

Just bought that 2 pack of porter cable grinders a tractor supply. Travelled a bit, for the last one.

Also received the grizzly stand I showed for my son for Christmas. Funny how after seeing it, he said he would like a roller stand, so I got the 4 in 1

After seeing @Weldingrod1 's Loc-Line Vacuum Hose & Nozzle, I decided I needed them for my Mini-Mill. Used my Zoro Cyber Coupon and got an assortment that I finally put together along with a strong, low-cost magnetic base from Amazon:

OK, the setup is not quite up to my normal level, but it does work; I just need to make some refinements and figure out how to swap nozzles efficiently (these big Loc-Line hoses are buggers to connect, and since I use 1-7/8" vacuum hose I need extra adapters).

And what I hope and believe to be a thread measuring mic (someone please confirm that!).

I assume to use this, you measure the entire threaded bolt using a regular mic, measure using this mic and then minus one from the other to get the depth of the thread?

Pretty sure that is a staged photo... those suckers never stay in place when you open the box... :D :p

No that's not how it works.
At least not with mine. You look up the pitch diameter in a book, or online and you match it.
