I need another lathe like I need a hole in the head. Let's just say I couldn't pass this up.
I'd rather see it get a dark dusty corner in the garage than end up in a scrap pile somewhere.

Industria Center sent me a message that they don’t have the model in stock anymore (despite initially claiming so) and that it is no longer manufactured by Facom.

Finally decided to pull the trigger on this! Nice, deep shelves compared to the ROLL.UC3SM3 model. This should keep even the larger parts from falling overboard.

I believe it's 16" swing. Yes, change gears, steady rest, and a big old 3 jaw are with it too.
Serial puts it early 1940's. Maybe mid '41, based on the calculation factor for SB.
But I really know nothing about it, other than it's been unused for as long as I've been alive!

It think the actual name for that length of 1/4" extension is 'spring'! Or possibly torque limiter, or noodle...

I just took a closer look at the swivel sockets. They are snap-on. I didn't see that before I bought them.
I guess some times I even get lucky
Thats my favorite granite! I have a bunch of drops that I cut accent pieces out of for various projects.Estate sale this morning $10.
I don't think I've even seen such a long 1/4" extension like this one before.
