This thing looks like it's been beat to death. Rust is one thing, but the backsplash is bent/damaged and the chip tray is full of crap, not rust. And this is just a quick glance at those pics.

what are you talking about. The backsplash is not bent, it's not properly mounted on the tailstock end. And full of crap in the chip tray... ???? WHAT? that's a load of useless information.

So did he sell it or just backed out of the deal ? I never was able to locate the lathe on FB if that's where it was listed .
