TouchDRO Plus is out (plus some loose ends)

Hi Yuriy,

Ready to take the plunge on Touch DRO. I am not enjoying my experience with the MagXact M200 touch screen DRO that is a Electronica EL700 series, at least on the outside, but I have doubts the inner workings are as robust.

My questions -

Is the single box all I need to order from the website? I already have magnetic scales installed, and can acquire a tablet easily.

How is the snappiness of numbers changing on the display to the axis moving. There is lag on the MagXact.

I see the website mentions axis summing. On my milling machine, I have 2 Z scales. One for quill and one for the knee. Can I keep that functionality? That is 4 linear scales.

Thanks in advance! I know all of this has probably been answered before, sorry for the repeat questions.

I have TouchDRO on my mill with the dreaded Chinese mag scales. I have zero perceptible lag.

It might just be me but regardless of the DRO, expecting to hit an exact dimension while using using the powerfeed seems optimistic.

I'm not sure if these videos are testing anything besides human reaction, but in general, from what I heard the LCD version of MagExact has a decent delay. Haven't heard complaints about the LED version.
TouchDRO can have maximum (worst case delay) of about 40ms delay if everything lines up "just right". Half of that is coming from the 50hz reading refresh rate, and the screen refresh rate. Bluetooth adds 10-20 micro seconds.
Human reaction time is 200 to 500 ms for a healthy young human.

When the table is moving, the numbers on the Magda’s are not refreshing like the touch-dro numbers. I own 2, and they are iffy.

Thanks. Can you respond to my other questions a few posts up? I’m ready to move forward based on the answers.
