You can start a FB profile and never put anything on it of a personal mature. Hell, I only have an avatar on mine as one group required it for buying and selling.

Doesn't matter. They connect your every bit of login information with data from all over the web and build an astonishingly accurate (though sometimes asontishingly *INaccurate* portrait of you. Doesn't matter to them, accurate or not, it all sells...
