Harbor Freight Carbide Grinder

I ordered a replacement cup through KBC tools. They are not cheap.
Do you have item numbers for what you ordered? I would like to do the same to the grizzly but have not had the time to research and shop. That would save me tons of time. Thanks

Another dumb question from a really novice hobby guy. I have one of those HF Central Machinery tool grinders as pictured above. Because of the tilt axis of the table, I'm tempted to grind on the side of the grinding wheel. Is this verboten? Somewhere I read that one should not do that. I've made some wooden jigs for grinding drill bits and cutting tools, but being able to use the tilt function of the table would make grinding more consistant and easier for an old guy like me.

Item #: 2-010-GA24 for $78.48

It shows as special order if this is the one you wanted. There's another one listed as Baldor water pot but it is either a misprint on the price ($647.46) or these things really are expensive.

I always thought this was just a cup to dip the tool into to keep it cool. I don't remember ever using the drip function. I don't remember seeing a bucket or other drain so nobody else must have dripped water as it was running either. Sounds like a nice feature if you did a lot of grinding but I only touched up carbide cutters on it and that didn't take long. Maybe different wheels or different uses that would be more important.

the side is what you use on these, though not recommended on standard grinder wheels. the type 50 stones typically have steel backing plates.

I could be wrong or misunderstanding but I think this type of grinder is meant to use the "side" of the wheel. Otherwise, the tilt function would be kind of worthless.

Here is the water cup for Grizzly's H7762 Heavy-Duty Tool Grinder. The cup lists for $14.40. I ordered a number of parts for that machine when I converted my VS Delta bench grinder to a tool grinder. Very reasonable prices and quick shipping.

Thank you, I really appreciate that

Does anyone know where to get a replacement water dripper cup? I have a MSC copy of this grinder, would be nice to get the dripper. I have a white wheel on it and a CBN.
Even the other ones don't work out.
Not as nice, get a hvlp paint cup, aluminum or plastic. Make your own.
