The kitchen section at Wal-Mart is a gold mine of storage options.
Ice-cube trays designed for sports bottles are perfect for taps and small drill bits.
Mini-muffin pans are great for collets.

I buy old Akro-Mils organizers for $10 to $25 each at the flea market. Just have to be patient.

These are my organizers for taps. The small drawers offer enough room for several taps per size and I did separate drawers in popular sizes to separate spiral point, spiral, and hand taps.

The bigger drawers did great for taps up to 1 1/4".

Where did you find these organizers? I like these but I can't see spending what a new Akro-mills piece costs.

The one on the right was from a big box store like Lowes I think. The one on the left is a steel box Akro-Mils I bought at the flea market full of electronics parts for $25. 36 spacious drawers. I have a 30mm tap in one drawer.

This was that organizer on the flea market table.

Stopped up at Lowe's a bought this for $34. Not as stout as a metal Akro-mills, but it'll get me better organized than some cardboard boxes.
