I think you will find the metal one has it's drawbacks as well. Some hold for a short time then start creeping away.
Others always spring back.
And the worst of the batch just don't hold at all.
And of course the best of the best do what they should.

But more are not the best of the best.

This, I prefer the plastic and “it’s “ drawbacks.

The one place I don’t like them if for blowoff use where with too much pressure they can pop off when bending and make me poop a little.
