Slitting saw blades for brass

To hold the screw, you could just use a short piece of round stock with a end hole drilled and tapped to put the screw in. Use round stock diameter that fits a collet you already have. Clamp it in the vise. Cheap, simple!

Great Tip, Aaron. Thanks

I took your advice, Mikey.

After buying a cheap arbor - I thought it'll save me time and that since it's so simple that it can't be bad even if cheap - I had to return it to seller as it had enormous run out. The saw blade wobbled like the hips of a Turkish belly dancer.

So I made an arbor similar to Stefan's. I ended up going with the 5C collet block and I'm reasonably happy with the result.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions guys.

Good job, Boris!

Is it me or are those slots a bit deep?
