A number of years ago I bought a 10k at an auction, and because it was my first shop machine I didn't even notice it was metric. I'm guessing it came from a school and because it wouldn't turn imperial threads it was in pristine condition. I ended up buying an imperial quick change gearbox, leadscrew and half nuts so I have these parts available in metric. Does anyone think there could be some interest in these parts? I've stayed with the large dial metric crossfeed/compound feed screws but I don't work in metric and it's painful to have to sneak up on diameters.

Does this place look familiar ? Went thru your town last August and will be coming thru in a couple weeks again . Nanton , a little north of you . If anyone down here would be interested in those parts , I would bring them down into the states .

Thanks for your kind offer — yes Nanton is a pretty town. A point of interest is the 2 aircraft on pedestals out front of the Bomber Command museum. My father has flown the T-33 for many years but he flew that specific CF-100 on 4 trips.

Well that's cool ! When we left Calgary last year we all stopped in Nanton to eat and go thru all the antique shops . Didn't know about the museum . We'll be coming thru this year around July 21st on the Calgary to Montana leg . Maybe we'll have to check out the museum . :encourage: I'll follow along here . Like I said , if anyone in the states would want these , I cold get them into the US no problem to avoid shipping from Ca , I know it's expensive . ( we're going to take the western loop of Glacier Park this year )

Those pictures remind me of Dog River, but a little bigger.
At least it's not Woolerton! (P-tui!)

Never been in ND , but will be July 4rth or 5th . :encourage: Who has fireworks ?

Bismarck usually has a pretty decent display at the Capital.
Mandan Rodeo usually has a good display.
Dickinson probably has one, as well as Medora (where they have the musical outdoor theater)
I think Mott puts on quite a display as well.
I have heard that Minot has one.
I am not sure about the eastern part of the state.

There are fireworks stands just about everywhere if you want to buy your own.

If you are into airplanes at all you would like this museum. Lancaster with 4 functioning engines (they drag it outside every year and fire them up), a Mosquito in rebuilding mode, Harvard (Texan), Beaufort, and others plus lots of engines on stands.

Just curious if you ever got rid of your metric parts. I have a SB 10k and would be interested in them.
