What vehicle?I had written a long description to accompany the photos in my post above, but some how it was lost and i couldn't figure out how to edit it in. So to clarify this is a repair to a DEF tank pump's fragile original fitting that breaks off all too easily. A new pump is $500.00 so i had to figure out a fix. i have made fittings out of aluminum, brass, stainless, and final design Delrin. The picture shows the first one made from aluminum.
I had to replace one once when I had the diesel X5.... not a fun task...
On other news... not much time to do anything last night. I did manage to clear the threads for the base plate that holds the extension on the Walker-Turner bandsaw.
I first tried compressed air, WD-40 but none of that worked. No wonder, the hole was really plugged with carp.
Now to cut a matching piece of wood to finish this part...
