I love them, my only regret is that I only bought one set instead of one for each vise.Nice work.
How do you like that set of angle blocks? I got a set earlier this year and while most of the blocks look OK for the cost, a couple of them have some “irregularities” that needed to be cleaned up (got a partial refund from the Seller as I figured a replacement set might be similar).
Had not thought about using a hardener, would speed things along though.Have you ever considered adding hardener to your paint? I have added it to enamel every time I paint something that matters since the first time I tried it. You can sand the first coat and apply your second coat the next day.
Drips, runs, sags and beads at every corner, I'm a terrible painter!and what is this sanding of which you speak?
Thanks; got mine as US stock on eBay (same Seller as on Amazon, 20% less). The only issue was two of the blocks needed to be features cleaned up that were missed during final grinding.I love them, my only regret is that I only bought one set instead of one for each vise.
Bought them from the UK just before brexit. Buying stuff from the UK now is such a hassle with added customs etc
Adds character & extra protection.Drips, runs, sags and beads at every corner, I'm a terrible painter!
I think he's referring to what some call "knocking back the surface" between coats. I've heard that this is helpful, but it creates dust, and I've also heard that dust is the enemy of a good paint job . . .what is this sanding of which you speak?
It is something that us terrible painters need to do. It makes the stuff we paint look ok-ish, to someone going by at full speed on a horse...My problem is I'm just not that interested in painting and what is this sanding of which you speak?
That’s why I use flat black: can’t see the “fine details” (what my wife calls imperfections). It is something that us terrible painters need to do. It makes the stuff we paint look ok-ish, to someone going by at full speed on a horse...
