POTD- PROJECT OF THE DAY: What Did You Make In Your Shop Today?

Nice work.

How do you like that set of angle blocks? I got a set earlier this year and while most of the blocks look OK for the cost, a couple of them have some “irregularities” that needed to be cleaned up (got a partial refund from the Seller as I figured a replacement set might be similar).

I love them, my only regret is that I only bought one set instead of one for each vise.

Bought them from the UK just before brexit. Buying stuff from the UK now is such a hassle with added customs etc

Have you ever considered adding hardener to your paint? I have added it to enamel every time I paint something that matters since the first time I tried it. You can sand the first coat and apply your second coat the next day.

Had not thought about using a hardener, would speed things along though.
Although much to my surprise the first coat was set enough to give a second coat after only 19 hours so we're moving along nicely ;)
My problem is I'm just not that interested in painting and what is this sanding of which you speak?

Thanks; got mine as US stock on eBay (same Seller as on Amazon, 20% less). The only issue was two of the blocks needed to be features cleaned up that were missed during final grinding.
Drips, runs, sags and beads at every corner, I'm a terrible painter!
Adds character & extra protection.

It is something that us terrible painters need to do. It makes the stuff we paint look ok-ish, to someone going by at full speed on a horse...
That’s why I use flat black: can’t see the “fine details” (what my wife calls imperfections).

Not shop related, but wanted to share... A friend wrote a children's book and needed a good illustrator... Of course I recommended my daughter. She is now a published illustrator and searchable in Amazon!!

She now works for a company that does Virtual Reality training for the Armed Forces, but this was a great side gig that she loved doing.
