Definitely a beefed up version, not a lot of things the same as the earlier series.
I'm hopeful I'll be able to take heavier passes with my end mills, I have a job to complete on slot milling on mild steel bars. Only to 1" depth but doing it on a series 1 I could only take 0.100 - 0.125" per pass.
 
Looks like you need Erickson quick change holders. I don't think standard NMTB 40 holders will work.
