New music for shop - You-tube comes through

I bailed on rock in the mid 70’s when it seemed it had run its course and everything seemed so derivative. I dove into jazz and stayed there for 10yrs then found acoustic string music. I guess it’s run its course with me until I discovered “hang drums”. There are so many different artists using this instrument I don’t see running out for the foreseeable future. For dog walks and shop time I use Pandora and the main artist is Matt Venuti. Just a quick YouTube under Matt Venuti came up with this. Notice at the beginning of the vid they are making a hang drum and tuning it. This woman has great technique.

Most of the time I don't bother turning the music on. There is usually a power tool running so it is just a constant interruption of the music.

After decades of classic rock, I just couldn't deal with all the repetition anymore. Don't take me wrong, the music is great, but how many times can you listen to the same songs?

I'm about three years in on Spotify now, and my "Like" song library has grown to almost 900 songs now, almost none of the FM radio classics. The $10/month music subscription cost is some of the best money I've ever spent...

Maybe I switch to Spotify………..

Maybe I switch to Spotify………..
I don't know which Spotify subscription my daughter has but the sound quality on a decent stereo is nerve grating. She isn't allowed to listen to Spotify on my stereo in the living room while I am around... even if she listens to music I like.

I digitized all of my CD's to FLAC files a long time ago and anything I acquire is in FLAC format. Spotify sounds like an 8 bit recording to me... which would probably be fine for the shop.
