New 2 me Tree Mill, lots of questions

Can you just put it back together, best option.

If not you got a snap ring to remove red arrows, and a spanner nut to unthread green arrows

I think it needs to come apart. I don't think trying to reseat the bearing would go well. What is the correct spanner tool to buy for this nut? I do have snap ring pliers that should work.

If you happen to know a machinist, make one.

I was looking for wisdom not a wise guy, but fair point. :) I'll measure it and buy or make a tool.

I'm needing some guidance on the procedure and how to correctly service this.

here's what one looks like

my home made ones just have the four bosses, not an outside ring.Capture.JPG

I got the head top cover back on. It's now leaking oil from the seam despite tightening the cover screws and the spindle has a knocking noise when running.

Does anyone know of a guide or service manual for servicing and checking the head?

have you looked at all this sites like this one?

I have looked a bunch and have the parts and operator manuals but no service manual.

I may try to find someone to rebuild the head for me. Besides any issues I may have caused, I would like someone to look it over and clean and replace parts as needed. If anyone knows someone who can help me, please let me know. I don't think rebuilding this head is a project I'm suited for.
