My New Workshop Build

Construction is Galvanized Steel and colourbond sheet steel cladding.
I know it will never be big enough, no shed ever is.
I will wallow in the limelight of that envy for that brief instant thanks Brian.
We had an un eventual month were it just rained and wouldn't stop, the Shed installers were a month behind so we had to wait a month, no photos of that month and that was a very long month.
The shed was delivered in January and here we are at the 26th of February and finally we have installers standing my shed up.
HOORAY I say!

Steadily, so steadily, it turns into a shed, hopefully it will be completed this week, they are making good progress.
This is all dependent on the rain staying away.

Yup, good progress. Looking fantastic.

I am really hoping you end up with more than a shed. You have the makings of a really fine shop. Sheds are just for storage.

Thanks Randy I am really hoping it is more than a shed also.
It is our retirement present to ourselves even though neither one of us are retired quite yet.
The far end 1/3 of it will be my Music room, drum room which I need to soundproof.
The rest will be workshop and begrudgingly storage.
Here is today's progress.

Great looking shed...but...

The photo of the siding at the side of slab is concerning.

Every bump is an entry point.

Ours has a trim piece that closes them all up.

Trim is usually an L shape that is attached to a steel runner along the slab.

The horizontal part becomes a shelf the wall sheet rests on, no space for critters.

You may fave a foam backer, that also works.

Check before you accept the building.

Yep those critters can come in, the roller door will be open 24/7 and we are in Australia.
So there are gunna be bugs.

Yahoo! our shed is finished. so now there is some serious drainage to get dug and installed, then more retaining, soundproofing etc.
I was very happy to get my bike lifter out of the weather and into the new shed.

Have you by chance followed Scott Turner on YT?
He and his wife have built what looks like a very similar building in the Townsville area.

Yes I was looking at his site when he first started building his.
He is a building machine that man.
its real hot up there as well, every day is like 34c plus with high humidity I don't know how he and his wife do it.
Have you been following his Youtube vlog?

Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of his channel.

My hat goes off to anyone who can put one of these giant Meccano sets together by themselves.
Everyone I have talked to about them has said yeah I built one, never again!
It took the pro's 4 days to construct it to completion!
