One thing about these lathes is you should crank the topslide towards you all the way then pump two or three pumps of oil and take the topslide all the way to the back. There are only two holes or oil ports on the top slide on the operator end. this is an issue w/ these lathes imo. It's hard to get the oil to the far bed slide way.
