Just to add, it looks like a diy repair is highly discouraged. At least on recent models.

And even if you don't use them, long island indicator's website is a friggin treasure trove of small/handheld metrology tools.

I did my own here:

I found the replacement crystal on bay.

Initially it feels intimidating, but just replacing the crystal does NOT mean opening up all the fragile works.
Just be careful with the needle.
