End mill storage

I went the Vevor route. The only thing I wish is that the drawers could be removed without tools- it's like pulling a car stereo from the mount bracket, not fun or convenient. Also they don't nest, you need to buy LRF support (little rubber feet) separately. I need one more...

you are lucky you got the US General's before they ruined the tool boxes. Now there are less drawers and they are deeper.

Those vevor slides don't come apart? The lack of nesting can be fixed with some drawer liners to prevent them from sliding.

Not to mention HF jacked up the price too... I wish I'd picked up another while I could. As far as I can tell, the Vevor slides are a one-way job, no tabs or slide locks to be seen. But they do dispense drills, taps, and end mills, just as advertised.

This thread might be of interest to folks:

I don't have any problem with wood causing rust. You need to use well dried wood. I like walnut because it's oily, or kiln dried Maple, and if I use 2x4s I make sure they are very old and dry in my shop. New 2x4s have water. I use a meter to check my wood.
And oil in the holes can not hurt.
And let me say that a lot of quality tools come in wood cases or holders

This.

The Gerstner boxes were the go to back in the day before shops had climate control as the wood would regulate the moisture and keep it off of the tools.

I have the same concern mentioned with the 3d printed items after seeing my filament get ruined due to moisture even though I built a nice dry box to house it.

Good point. Plastic is hydroscopic
