End mill storage

I cut the PVC pipe to an appropriate length and put a single end mill in each one
If you are getting the PVC pipe and caps for free, and you don't mind the time/work to create the containers, I can understand.
However, if you have to purchase the PVC, See the link below. The telescoping tubes come in many sizes so you're not wasting space. They don't roll away and you can save your labor/time for something else.

I printed this.

that is nice. The only problem would be the double ended endmills.
Also I would probably want one for HSS, and one for Carbide. And a protective cover to prevent anything from hitting them. But that might lead to problems itself.

I may send that to my son and ask him to do one for me.

edit: oops, most of my end mills are 1/2 and 3/8.
the 1/2 has too few slots for me.
Maybe I can modify it. I have a ton of small as well, but they are in the akro mills drawers, I rarely use them.

Nice! I am trying to get away from wood holders as it promotes rust. I have been making holders out of acrylic since I don't have a 3D printer.

Had these for so long I can't remember how I cut the slots

I could design one easily enough that’s mostly 1/2” and 3/8” if you want as that’s pretty easy in Fusion.

It’d be like this but for standard sizes.

What sizes and how many of each size would you want?

I don't have any problem with wood causing rust. You need to use well dried wood. I like walnut because it's oily, or kiln dried Maple, and if I use 2x4s I make sure they are very old and dry in my shop. New 2x4s have water. I use a meter to check my wood.
And oil in the holes can not hurt.
And let me say that a lot of quality tools come in wood cases or holders

I went the Vevor route. The only thing I wish is that the drawers could be removed without tools- it's like pulling a car stereo from the mount bracket, not fun or convenient. Also they don't nest, you need to buy LRF support (little rubber feet) separately. I need one more...
