Well , you need the original Starrett , what can I say ? I've got 4 tables full , 20 boxes full , 9 buckets full of Starrett stuff here ready to load up . My winter project on the bay . I list it here and on the bay at the same time . It all sells on the bay . I love being surprised in the morning with a sale on epay , this morning was a $300 sale of 2 Albrecht chucks . :encourage:

Pic . So these fit in an outer case which is probably in one of the Vidmars . Had a ring gear in in it . I always found this piece interesting and took it to the beach each year when vacationing along with my Machinerys Handbook . ;) Needed it to take my eyes off of the beach candy . I did find something to put on the bay tomorrow also . The can/tube mics from CC&S .
Ok, now I understand (CC&S). I have one of these:

And these (0-1” & 1-2”), with flat, round & Vee anvils:

Go away: I’m running out of Metrology space (the tubular came in a lot, but it’s clean and 0.0001”).

When you stop by in January you’ll see that I can’t match your quantity or range, but I’ve got a lot of oddballs.

Crown Cork & Seal . Got a lot of stuff from my Uncle 30 years ago just now opening up . That Gerstner was his that sold up at Cabin Fever last year . I kept his Dad's 1914 Union chest for the mantle .

I’m looking for a 200mm to 300mm or inch equivalent mic, what ya got?

John

Could use an upgrade on my telescoping gauges too. Working on an old Datsun motor.

Are we talking about an older version of those plastic cased reducers that you would use to turn a drill into a screwdriver?
Probably. It was marketed in 1956 as a power screwdriver rather than a speed reducer. I just want to open it up and clean it so it works again. I can't figure out how to open it though.

Was @GHThomas (OP) able to figure out how to disassemble??
As of an hour ago, no.

Found the Mr. Pete video:
Starting at 11:11 he takes it apart, but the Versamatic has visible screws holding it together.
