Don’t know what happen but there’s smoke.

Depends on the motor size also- 3/4 HP and below will usually be fine on 110 volts, but 1 HP and over is best on 220 to avoid losing
significant voltage in the house wiring before it reaches the motor

Will I need to touch any of the wiring to the contactors? And from my test, they both tested fine with no open circuits and continuty was on par when manually pulled in and released. And nothing is shorting to ground.

Im not against wiring up the motor up for 220, and if so, would that even require me to have a transformer?

How would I go about wiring the electrical box if 220v was the smarter more appropriate route.

Realized ill still need controllers powered by 110 so transformer is staying but ill rewire the motor as per marks suggestions and recommendations
Yes, you will need a transformer to get the 110 voltage for control .
The contactor and relay coils operate at the lower voltage.
You can replace the control contactors and relays with 220v coils and run it , but it may be more work than it is worth

If the contactor coils (and fuse) are OK you should be in the clear with new transformer and motor set for 220v

What’s odd is the fuse never blew when the transformer let go and I was operating it off the lever from the saddle.

I’m changing the motor wiring today and was hoping the new transformer would arrive yesterday or today but looks like it’s somewhere in the USPS system.

Will update once it’s in my handles hopefully tomorrow.

USPS does seem to be lagging lately- I had a package that took 3 days to get thru Colorado last week

I’m impatiently waiting on the mini white box to come flying down the street and give me my parts. Should be within the next hour or two. Let me run down and do the motor wiring and post a picture to make sure it looks square to everyone else too.
