How hard is it to get one in yoyr state? Mine expired in 98 just never had it renewed.

Things sured change from then to now, Then you needed you needed 3 buisness owner to sing that they new you and what kind of person you were. And three personal ref. from other people in town.

Anyway I picked up two apps. one for me and one for the wife, It was about the same thing as the one you fikk out to purchase a gun. I took them in on Monday and we picked them up yesterday.

It cost $20.00 per year for the wife and $15.00 a year for me cause I'm over 65. You can get them for up to five years pretty easy to get one here.

So what does it take to get one where you live?

live in maryland unless retired cop or know someone with power in this communist state your not getting one have 500 ton capt. lic. with master of towing endosement pushed 50,000 barrel jet fuel barge into military bases had every kind of background checks you can imagine payed 500 filling fees turned down with no reason giving told me to get a lawyer

Not hard here. Unless you've had a hunting license or been in the military(I guess),you have to take a CC class. Can do it online for $35.00. Then, pass the test, and take the certificate to the court house and pay $50.00 for the permit.

This assumes,I guess,you have a clean record.

I haven't gotten around to getting a CC permit, though it is legal here to open carry. But,I would feel stupid doing that. I'd think it'd look like I was looking for trouble.

There's a bill here in Tennessee being pondered to be able to carry openly without a permit. I hope it passes.

Minnesota requires an 8 hour training class. I have not applied as the wife sez I may become too cockey and get myself killed. . . probably cause I tell her I want to move to a second story apartment in the bowrey /drug section of town and sit in my rocker by an open window with a shot gun across my lap . . go figur' :)

oh, Wisconsin honors Minnesota certificates.

I'm still a year too young, but in Tennessee, you are required to have a permit, basically usable for open or concealed carry. Far as I know, you have to pay some fee and pass a simple shooting test, basically, plus some kind of class beforehand. Soon as I turn 21, I'm going to do it, no matter how much I hate having to fatten someone's wallet and get on my knees before the almighty .gov to bear arms. We got screwed over with the proposed open carry bill, shot down just because it would slim down somebody's wallet.

We have the open carry law here with out having a permit, But about every cop would stop you to see what or why your doing it.

I like to take mine where ever I go except to church, I've had mine in WalMart and about every store with in 100 miles of here.

There is 26 states that including Tennessee and New Hampshire, Alaska And the rest.

Wisconsin is easy hunters safety certificate or been in the military(DD214) or CC class, no photo or finger prints.
Florida and Utah I had to do the photo and finger prints and class or DD214.

Here in PA for a CCW it's $20 for 5 years with a background check and the permit is good in about 12 states. Here you can get a UTAH permit which is good in most states and only takes a 4 hour course and finger prints then send it in for the permit and is good for 5 years. The only states it is not good in is the usual liberal states like New York, Calf. ect. If I remember it's good for 39 states if you go for the Ariz. permit too.
