I'm trying to find a boring/facing tool for a 3" lucas horizontal mill. The tool has some manner of clutch assembly. It feeds out with rotation. Any help would be great.

The top-of-the-line boring/facing head is certainly a Wohlhaupter UPAx. (Narex, Chandler, and others have made similar heads as well, but Wohlhaupters are the most widely available and are of the utmost quality.)

The most common sizes are UPA3, UPA4, and UPA5. UPA1 and UPA2 are small and hard to come by. Similarly, the UPA6 is huge and also hard to come by.

Over the years, I've come to acquire, disassemble, clean, and sell off many Wohlhaupters. Presently I've got a spare UPA3 and either UPA4 or UPA5 (I'd have to look). If you're interested, I'd be willing to part with one or both. You'd probably want the larger size for your Lucas.

Here are a couple posts I've made about the internals and working mechanisms of the UPA3 and UPA5:

Would love to see pictures of your Lucas! I am looking for a facing head for my G&L as well.

The Narex heads are a near copy of the Wohlhaupter and comes at a lower price, I also do like the Chandler Duplex, The Universal is limited in travel, but will feed out by hand feed while rotating.
