Boring bell mouthed chuck jaws question

I am wanting to reduce the run out and eliminate the bell mouth of chuck jaws on 3 - 3 jaw chucks I have. At this time I don't have a tool post grinder but have plans to make one but too many irons in the fire now to work on one. So my question has anyone tried boring the jaws with CBN insert tooling? I've got some CBN inserts ordered to make my own boring bar. I welcome all comments. thanks in advance.

You can try... but in my experience, CBN hates an interrupted cut...

They tend to chip very quickly.

Robin Renzetti (YouTube) cut one (successfully) with CBN. I might not risk it if I was overly concerned about the cutter, but it worked for him.

The cord is old and cracking and should probably be replaced but the unit did power on and run when we bench tested it.

I've got one of these I've used over the years . Nice , but expensive . If you do go the grinding route , cover your ways the best you can and clean up afterwards .

Thanks to a post here on H-M I learned that they sell AXA QCTP attachment that was exactly the right size for my Foredom grinder. Easy and works great. The other concern is holding the jaws open under tension to get an accurate grind. I got this from another forum.
