Belgian FN Browning .22

Sam, I have the same rifle with a 3 leg Schuler claw mount and a Oigee scope ca. 1920. This one is a recent Swedish import. Early Browning autos are called 'Top-Loaders' by the American collectors. Still in exceptional condition and shoots very well. Browning stated that this was the best gun he designed. I also have a .22 short Browning I bought for my Father and a .22 short Mdl 24 Remington built under patent rights from Browning. The Brownings in the short chamberings are a joy to shoot and remind me of the carnival gallery guns when I was younger. Enjoy your new rifle, I only wish suppressors were legal in this country for small game season.--David
 
Thanks for the info David. I had to guess at the date as it is definately early and the toploaders were not in production for vary long. Also, the style of the stock and lack of engraving makes this an older model. When I pick it up I'll post some more pictures.
