6-12 micrometer set

I have a Polish made set I got from Enco years ago. Calibrated them a month ago, and all dead nuts. As said FB or Craigs list will save you a lot, and often get you better quality. Mike

I have a set of 1-6 Dasqua, I like the brand and a 12" dial caliper of the same brand. It is rare that I need anything over 2" but when I do the Calipers are generally accurate enough.

After this whole thread confirming that the full 6-12 set is the better option, I'm still left thinking about the interchangeable anvil set.

I may use the 6-12" micrometers a few times a year at most. Most of my projects are caliper level accuracy.

They will generally be used on the lathe and space is not an issue.

$400 is a chunk of change right now vs $150

I can upgrade later.

TLDR version:

If I dislike the exchangeable version, I'll dislike it once or twice a year.

The only interchangeable anvil set I have is 1” to 4”. I love them on the road because of small space they take up in my briefcase. I never use them in the shop

For shop use I have 1” to 13”. They were all bought as individuals, most of them used. The older ones are still in their wooden boxes

If the interchangeable mics are accurate, I don't see how I'll benefit from spending the extra money right now. There is plenty of room on my lathes. Lol.
