From what I've observed, it's a mix of inept middle management failing up and those who simply don't care about anything other than their own affairs and how to not be held accountable for anything.

I think you’re on the right track. I’ve done some reading on a concept called late capitalism. It struck some chords for me. I’m not saying I have any answers or insights. But it was interesting.

Incompetence or mediocrity aren't limited to any class but rather infect all levels. Since changing the behavior of others is beyond my pay grade, I work on my behavior. I've found the best way to get through life is to outperform my peer group. Eliminates lots of problems. Dave
