A little update on the wheel project. After some research it appears the wheel is a 17" 1932-35 Kelsey Hays, Ford wheel. Pretty convenient, as I'm a big Ford guy. It has the old style Ford script stamped on the wheel bearings. Cleaned up the drum/hub and will be painting it gloss black for a little contrast, and have a re-pop V8 hub cap on order for it. Cut the wheel cylinder off the spindle, so I can attach it to a mount that will be built into the deck railing. May try to find a wide whitewall tire to mount on it. Cheers, Mike

Today i had a full day of work in the garage. Both white elephant 1 and 2 needed a full inspection because of the increase police checks. The No:1 has very little wrong couple of bulbs, fuse and i found one of the rear shocks has began leaking. The No: 2 was a different story, it needed about 10 bulbs couple of wiring fixes but that wasn't the the worst, passenger axle has diveloped loud clicking, and after checking the sticker then taking the cover of the timing belt i found its almost 65 000 km overdue for a timing belt change, put it together and told my brother to park it i need to order a belt kit and change it before it makes a mess. I'm not sure if this is a record but 148 000 km is a lot for any timing belt, especially on a diesel. Also i managed to get the scrap yard people to come and pick up the orange 206, the prices are up and they want my scrap.

Mill Table Cover. I was getting tired of cleaning the table and slots and also nicking up the table.

Made from 1/4" (6.35 mm) Plexiglas with Delrin guides and cam locks. First time machining Delrin. The stuff is fantastic and so easy to machine.

I MADE NEW FRIENDS!

My Victor lathe and Excello mill are due to be moved pretty soon. I was lining up my friends to help but they are all busy. I KNOW RIGHT!? What are the odds that all my friends are busy on a Sunday? One guy said he had to shave his cat that day, another said he was getting a root canal (didn't know dentist worked on Sunday). Anyway, I figured I'd make some new friends .
Top pieces are .500 plate, sides .750 x .500. Axles are .625 turned down to .500 at the bearings. Bearings are .375. All the hardware is 8th grade except socket head screws. Just enough paint on them to keep them from rusting over night.
Probably wont support 6 tons like the ones advertised on the market websites, but it doesn't have to, it just has to hold up my stuff. I figure as long as I don't exceed 50MPH, they should hold up just fine.
One is done, I ran out of bar for the handles for the other three so I have to go wait by the door.
