Finally! After years of using a screwdriver to change the blade on my box cutter, I finally got fed up and made a thumb screw for it. Tool -less blade changes!

Haha. I know those kind of projects. Every time you changed the blade it was like man I need to make a thumbscrew....just not today!
My not today/dreadful/been avoiding project-
Continue the basement shop wall painting. Painting part is not bad. Put some music on and mindlessly slather it on. Part I can't stand is prepping. Scrubbing the concrete with water, wire brush and rags to get the loose stuff and construction mud etc so the paint will 1/2 stick. Then moving pipes and conduits to get behind them. My goal is not waterproofing but primarily to brighten things up and reduce dusting.
My basement is very dry so any "waterproofing" effect is just a bonus. More like a vapor boundary. Not sure the stuff I bought is any good but figured it would be better than regular wall paint.

This wall will be a pain geting behind the panels

Very nice, I used my share of box cutters and I feel your pain.

I made an angle dresser for my small surface grinder. The only thing I had left to do was the handle that goes on the knob. Set it on my grinder and it is to tall. I'll have to make some modifications to make it work. Chopping the diamond dresser tool in half would probably be the first thing.
I copied the plans from Mr. Doug Ross aka Rossbotics

That really turned out nice. I might need to make myself one. How are you holding it when you are sharpening? I'm assuming it would just sit as pictured when running, but maybe I'm wrong.

After some recent welding I decided I really need a cheap, compact dedicated tungsten grinder.

Horrible freight sells this saw blade sharpener with a diamond blade and a motor for $69.

At about a 20 deg angle I get a very nice taper.
Works like a charm.

Making and modifying some small parts for my bench grinder diamond dresser project.

Making a screw conveyor

Material used 0.5 inch steel pipe, 2in washers.



I cut the washers and bent them on the vise.



Then I welded them in pairs



And put them on the pipe to weld the pairs together



After welding the pairs I stretched them to give them the appropriate shape.



Conveyor ready! I must weld it on the pipe now and grind all these horrible weldings I have made!!
