And it works great!

I don't know what it is about seeing CNC work ... On one hand I understand the logistics of the math and process but on the other hand the little kid in me takes over and goes that is just freaking cool! :)

Particularly neat about that part is it was programmed as a dual starting position, so it machined one side, then I pulled it out, flipped it over and back in the vise against the stop and touch off set my depth and hit go. It took a minute getting it setup in cam with the correct directions for the axes.

Fired up the forge for the first time. Using homemade Reil burner. Sledge and rail for pounding and a tiny Harbor freight anvil. Need to get or make blacksmithing tools and get a good anvil, build a holder for the firebricks, etc etc. Burned some holes in asphalt driveway. Had fun.

I use aluminum whenever I can for power distribution. However, I also always use CU/AL connectors, antioxidant, and a torque wrench.

Note that the utility companies don't use copper.

I know the feeder from the pole to the meter is aluminum in my house. We used copper throughout the rest of the house. I would think Commerial would use heavy copper from the transformer to the box.
