Lanham, yes it is. I wanted to use a 1.5" to make it easier, but after talking to my machinist (and since I couldn't find one in the shop anywhere) I decided to use RavVins suggestion and steps. I downloaded another radius calculator and it gave me the same results as his table did, so... I did a slight improv tho, in order to not take off too much material and minimize chatter, I did a .010" offset to his dims and made that cut first, then went back and made the final cut. I used a left handed mill, so I went backwards too...
But, I must say, it came out really nice! He's right, you don't need a 1.5" mill...
I've got a few casting waiting for my attention. Please take lots of pics and document this build well. Thanks in advance.
here's a link to CNC Gunsmithing. He does 0% lowers out of billet. Not exactly the same but shows a lot of the same steps on internal machining. http://www.cncguns.com/projects/ar15lower.html
You bet! I used an 18 step radius for the deck and it worked out great. The calculator I have is a spreadsheet from another forum, let me see if I can upload it here.

Thanks Rick, I will do my best to document it all along the way... I have studied the CNC Gunsmithing build as well. I have another project in the works to do some from billet on CNC, but that is more programming and knowing how to make the mill work than the old school 'manual' mill technique.. LOL
I have some more tooling on the way to do the side holes, should be here this week, so hopefully I'll get some more shop time in this weekend...
