I wish I had one for all the Idiots trying to pass when pulling a 5-ton trailer at 60 mph in a 55-mph zone uphill around a corner with bright yellow double lines separating the lanes. It was quite a show last weekend when it happened. I'll bet the guy passing didn't miss a head on crash by more than a car length. The worst part was that he only stayed on the main road for another mile or so. Then turned off on a narrow country road.. I wonder if he was changing his shorts.
Or sniffing another line. You never know. He might be congratulating himself for being the cool formula “1” pilot.

Or the idiot who cuts in on an 18 wheeler and stomps on the brakes.. I've seen that too many times...
But then I've seen the 18 wheeler acting totally reckless weaving in and out and knocking cars into the shoulder, with out a care in the world.
I wanted to shoot my imagined rocket at that idiot.
They sometimes are tired and almost asleep. ****ty world for truck drivers. I sounded the horn for one that was going straight on a curve. He jolted and almost flipped the 18 wheeler. And another stupid New Yorker who got between two 18 wheeler doing 80 downhill and the distance between the trailers was 60feet apart at the most.

Small world, in a LRGC member.

The neighbors tried to sue us out of business but the judge shot them down.

It was made clear this would not be tabled again as they got their houses at a reduced price knowing the range was there.
One of my few regrets about moving out of NJ was giving up my membership there. I’m glad to hear it is still there, I think when I left was when the lawsuits were filed, or at least rumored to be filed.

yes, I know, this was not a tired trucker, this was an A hole.
Most truckers are professional, some are dumb sh*ts, who don't appreciate the power of their vehicle's, or the weight of their bad decisions.

I was almost killed by a gas tanker truck, along with many others. The driver was not paying attention, traffic was stopped dead on the highway, rather than plow into everyone, he went off the road onto a steep embankment. How he didn't roll I don't know, my lawn tractor would have rolled. Anway he drove through it and down.. took out many saplings, and a few older trees. I'll never forget it. It plays in slow motion in my head. There are so many ways that could have turned out badly, and it didn't.

Scary stuff.

That is a high speed cordless hole punch.
Lol. Those are fun to read about. I just love thinking about that sort of hardware.

The closest I've been to something like that high speed hole punch was a full auto MP5. The cool part was that it was in the very large factory where they make the boolets, in their long range test range, in the basement, as part of a tour. That was WAAAAYYY too cool a day. The guy running the range tests fires ammo all day long. Not sure I'd want that job, probably get boring fast, but still fun to think about.

Fwiw..
In Finland, where I come from, there are no gross weight limits on trucks, only on length.
EU country.

Family members routinely run 40.000 kg loads, about 95.000 lbs, all across the country.
10k kg in loader, 15 tons pile driver, 10 tons of steel piles, truck around 10 tons.
In decades, no accidents.

Specialist trucks are allowed longer runs than the 18 metres permitted, but they typically run fixed routes, and there are maybe 8 permits.

My next machine is being re-installed with the rotary toolchanger on the lathe, 4-tools.
And the fixed air line, for the VMC I built, for the tool changer.
