I've got you beat. I haven't been to a NY's party since 1975.
I was in 1st grade in 1975. Getting to stay up until midnight back then was actually a big deal.

Im ready for bed by 10pm have been since 25 years old.My wife says, I wish we could do something for New Year's Eve.
I say, I thought Sarah and Jake are having a big party.
They are but I don't feel comfortable going by myself.
I say, never stopped you before.

To my 69 year old wife it's a very special day that needs a party!!
So, she has a dilemma, not me

Back around 2000 or so our kids wanted to stay up until midnight. We turned on the TV and after a bit they showed a countdown and celebration from somewhere - and we said 'that's it' and sent the kids to bed. It was 10pm after all, and I was beat...I was in 1st grade in 1975. Getting to stay up until midnight back then was actually a big deal.
