My wife says, I wish we could do something for New Year's Eve.
I say, I thought Sarah and Jake are having a big party.
They are but I don't feel comfortable going by myself.
I say, never stopped you before.

See, to me, New Years eve is a day to stay home and go to bed at a normal hour.
To my 69 year old wife it's a very special day that needs a party!!

So, she has a dilemma, not me :)

Hey, for Christmas I pulled the trailer out of storage to go stay at Laguna Seca and Monterey. Had a great dinner at sunset, ya da ya da.
I thought I was being a good sport. A week later she wants more........?????

They always want more…. :grin big:

In the interest of keeping the peace, a small gesture on your part could be important to her, and may be appreciated.
If she doesn’t ask for much-why not put yourself out for one evening?
You may even have a good time.

That is a tough one Jeff. My SO has her girlfriend’s that she has get togethers with and my concession is I go elsewhere for those. Neither of us likes crowds and especially parties as we don’t particularly like being around drunk people and a room full of drunk strangers is absolutely the worst. So I guess that makes me a Fuddy Duddy if that is the definition.

I'm with you. It's a night for the amateurs. If you need to celebrate that you made it another year than go for it. I don't. I'm with you, it's just another day. I have almost been killed by the drunk drivers on New Years, so I'm more a stay at home, and avoid the idiots..
