Wrench storage

+1 on the local tools! Lathe, mill, and shear/brake all have one of every tool they need at the machine.

The time it takes to get organized is well worth it. When I worked for GM I dedicated 2 employees full time to Visual control and workplace organization. It was money well spent. Also makes for much better efficiency and quality.

As they are from different countries and for different purposes they aren’t necessarily equal.

Except...... we had one labtech that was way too eager/anal.
If you went for coffee or to the washroom in the middle of a job when you came back all the tools you were using were put away.
It was maddening!

If I left the job site for 5 minutes some of my tools would walk off . Operators thought personal tools were purchased by the company , which they weren't . I had to lock the roller up when breaktime came around . :cussing:

I know I've posted this in the past .....................

Went to my co-workers yard sale one year and bought back my MARKED large Channel Locks . Full name was engraved on them . I didn't say anything just for the sake of keeping the peace .
