What Did You Buy Today?

Mine really went after me over bringing in sharp chips stuck in my shoes, on days I work around the lathe or Mill.

Now I have to remove my shoes at the door if I machine anything.... What kind of madness is this? :)
LOL, I did it on my own. Even the darn LL Bean slippers I forgot to change on a "quick trip" out to the shop. :)

Ok, but the vac hoses still don't attach to the off sizes they used. An external adapter slides right off, so the hose won't stay on. The adapter the provided grabs less than 1/8 inch of the hose end. Just bull crap. And yet Oneida's appears to support the 2.25 hose end, and so does the home Depot dust topper.i want my cake and Edith too.
Connectors for vac systems are simply a PIA. IDs & ODs . . . 3D printer? There are some good collections posted on the usual free sites. I bought a Mullet for my wood working. Most of my stuff is portable so I use Cen-Tec hoses.

Consumables. Burrs & some fiberglass cut-off disks to try on the Dremel.

A handy box cover for a L6-20 receptacle. 1.594 diameter hole. Most web sites & often even the darn manufacturers information leave off the hole diameter. It even came pre dented.

I bought the Mullet over arm and like it. I did not want to pay the price that Gus wanted for the cyclone.
The Centec's look nice, the hose LOOKS nice and flexible.
But most of my shop has PVC piping and 2 1/4 2 1/2 ports I bought some super flexible 2 1/2 inch hose from woodcraft 20 or so years ago, and mostly use that. some with ends, some just slip over the ports. I have 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 in the metal shop. And from the mullet I use an adapter hose I had for my porter cable ports that I just cut down for use on the mullet.

I modified my mullet overarm, turned a new piece of pvc so it is a nice fit in the holder, and now spins which ever way I pull it. I lost the rubber grommet/adapters for different vacs. I said I won't need these and put them in storage somewhere. When I went to use them, I forgot where I put them. Dumb ****.

Naw, just the joy of frugality. I went this was because it's all portable. The Cen-Tech is mostly used for whole house vacuum systems, but I first saw it on the Mullet site.

I used the store delivery type containers to move a lot of my shop stuff. I've been using them to try and keep like things together. Now all I have to do is either open a bunch because the markings are too cryptic or as a horizontal surface their magnetic attraction proved too much.

I tried to buy a cnc router online, but they could take that much outa my debit card in one chunk, so I'll have to call on Monday, incidentally when the sale is over.
If they won't honor the sale price I would be inclined to take my business elsewhere.

John
