What Did You Buy Today?

Nice. A copy of the Excalibur ..
We looked at the Excalibur they didn't have as big a table. this is Taiwanese, runs buttery smooth and quiet, very nice features weights 100 pounds with the stand and has a 22"wide x 28" deep table, 21" deep throat, it was an upgrade from her Porter Cable.

My chinesium dividing head came a couple of days ago. Took it all the way down and smoothed everything up. Lots of burrs, but not a lot of grit like I've heard from others. I'll be putting it to work next week, hopefully.
I think they are doing a better job of cleaning the grinding swarf.
Burrs and sharp edges on the other hand......

One step closer to building my own bicycle frames! I got this bike fitting system for $100 on the local Craigslist. For an extra $100 the seller even agreed to deliver it to me 235 miles away :eek 3:

It was a rather peculiar sight to see this come out of a Tesla Model 3 :chunky:

New Drafting Board Cover (to protect the top of my oak drawing flat file), pleasing light gray:

The old (dirty & cut) light green one only lasted 30 ± years (IIRC, you could get any color you wanted, as long as it was light green ;) ):

To keep the new one from getting cut (yes, it is self-healing, but I managed to cut 90% through the old one in a few places, and don't want to scar the pristine oak veneer on the drawing flat file), I re-installed the offset cheap cutting mat I put over the green one a few years ago:

I know it's too small, but it gives me (usually) all the area I need and it was free (after using the portion I removed for another project). I could get a 36" x 48" cheap one, but then I'd have to find a place to store the 34"-ish remanent, and trim the 36" x 48" to 34" x 45": I think I'll wait for them to go on sale at Michael's/JoAnn's/Hobby Lobby, and see if their framing shop will trim it for me.

The old green one? That's getting cut in half and re-purposed to go on the low worktable in my shop.
