The old (dirty & cut) light green one only lasted 30 ± years (IIRC, you could get any color you wanted, as long as it was light green

To keep the new one from getting cut (yes, it is self-healing, but I managed to cut 90% through the old one in a few places, and don't want to scar the pristine oak veneer on the drawing flat file), I re-installed the offset cheap cutting mat I put over the green one a few years ago:
I know it's too small, but it gives me (usually) all the area I need and it was free (after using the portion I removed for another project). I could get a 36" x 48" cheap one, but then I'd have to find a place to store the 34"-ish remanent, and trim the 36" x 48" to 34" x 45": I think I'll wait for them to go on sale at Michael's/JoAnn's/Hobby Lobby, and see if their framing shop will trim it for me.
The old green one? That's getting cut in half and re-purposed to go on the low worktable in my shop.
