Chuck and all the rest of you guys who have posted about ringing, I just saw your post on this thread. I suffer from the same malady. Being around a lot of loud noise in my later teen years (drums in a rock and roll band) resulted in significant hearing issues characterized by constant ringing. Over the years, my hearing has gotten noticeably worse - to the point where last week, I was fitted for hearing aids. I am wearing a loaner pair right now that will be evaluated over the next month or so to determine the optimal parameters for the pair I will actually buy.

Last week when I put them on for the first time in the doctor's office, I was amazed at how much better I could hear. It was one step removed from miraculous, actually. And one of the side benefits - at least in my case - was a near elimination of the ringing. I've since come to recognize, it's not 'gone' but significantly camouflaged by the improvement in proper hearing. I hear it right now because I'm thinking about it; but in my normal routine, I am less inclined to be aware of it. The doctor tells me that experience is 'common' but doesn't happen in every instance.

You guys might want to think about a visit to a hearing specialist. Might not help at all. But then again, it might.

Got any good Russian metal? Korol y shoot (Король И Шут) is a bit tame. Слот is a bit better, but still looking... German has Rammstein and Megaherz, but I haven't found really good Russian rock yet. (Yes, I know Ленинград...).

wonderfully magical. Fantastic voice. Goes with any mood or setting.

I wish the modern music industry would rediscover the magical smoothness of the saxophone and the bright and joyful “punch” of the trumpet….

Da, vceh znaem Leningrad! Ya zabuil tak pisat ruskii v keyboard... I have no Russian metal, but I have a mountain of "klassno" xip xop. Track suit music. I kinda like it, those dudes don't give a svoloch about what anyone thinks, they just have a good time "rapping".


This was an accidental find, not Russian. Some of you non-metal fans might appreciate it.
