Wachuko's Boyar-Schultz Six-Twelve Surface Grinder

Under it would be a hole, and likely a cross drilled hole to force oil between the ways? Or a CIA counter intelligence device.
That is why I do not think is an oiler... Can't find what it would lubricate. There is nothing underneath it. Here is the photo of where the table sits... you can see the center is open... unless it is just a pin that serves as a maximum/hard stop mechanism if you forget to set the stops on the front...

That might just be what it is for... if that is the case, then it should be something that I can make and replace... fingers crossed...

Also not sure if Deluxe or not... guessing it is just a Standard model with the dust collector option

The bent thingy is a pin, centered on the table, in line with the rack gear, near the flat way. The base has two cast bosses, probably not much more than 12" apart, in line with the pinion gear, near the flat way. I'd say it's an absolute limit travel stop, like you guessed. But I too am guessing, just using the available information. I think you can breathe deeply now, no feathers lost.

It's oiling the table or that long flat gear, not the base from the looks of it. Put an air hose to it and see where the air comes out.

My garage used to look looks like that first pic !

I had to do some organizing while I was there just to be able to walk to some of the machines... I saw that and could not stop thinking about my kids having to go through the same with my stuff... The son just needs to sell everything so he can sell the house. So much history in that small garage... I do not know much, but the guy was really talented. The amount of different dies that were there was impressive.

Nice! I can't get over how similar in appearance it is to my Harig 612.

I had to work on the lube system on mine, the pump had quit. I replaced it with a Little Giant. I can tell if it's delivering oil to the ways just by reaching up under the table and feeling the ways, checking both ends. While you have the table off, work the oil pump and see if it's delivering. to the ports in the middle of the ways. I had to block the port on the V way with my finger to force oil to the flat way.
