Urgent Help - PM 940M down. Motor issue

Correct, Single phase 220, geared head, not variable belt drive.

PM had no data on motor types (at least the one I was dealing with) for a VFD conversion, even though at one point they had a VFD CNC model for sale.

I have switched to reverse when power tapping before the motor has come to a complete stop, keeps going forward and there goes a tap.

At this time, purchasing a 3phase motor, VFD, and single to 3 phase converter is not feasible, regardless of how much I would prefer that. At the time that I ordered this unit I wanted the PM940V, but I missed the last one available by like 3 days, and the next shipment was a long way off, so I went with the 940M.
Assuming I'm understanding correctly, if you could source a 3-phase motor to fit your machine, you would only need the VFD to provide power for it. There would be no requirement for a phase converter.

I originally wanted the M but wound up with the V, I have been very satisfied.

On my Lathe there is a Baldor option, you might check and see if this is the case with yours.
