Tramming Question

I learned a fantastic method of tramming, but no one seems to know about it.

Get yourself a precision right angle block or square of some kind. Stand it on your table so the spindle is against it. Adjust until the light between the block and spindle disappears. Do this on two axes.

No one seems to believe it works, but it does, and it's very fast.

Once you get it PERFECT, one can drill and install a taper pin with bolt to quickly remove and re install.

My Steinel mill has this from the factory.

No idea how accurate it is as I didn’t get the pin with it.
